The Fire Industry Association (FIA) AGM took place in November during which members of the FIA Board and Councils were confirmed, among the appointments were a couple of DT team members – CEO, Robert Campbell and UK Business Development Manager, Simon Flavell.

Having being elected to the board in 2020, Robert’s re-election for a third term, will see him continue to support core objectives within the FIA, helping shape the future of the association and promote advancing fire safety standards.

The work of the FIA in promoting best practice and driving standards is vital - not just to members, but the global fire industry. The AGM is great time to reflect on the work done and focus on the future, I’m thrilled to have been given the opportunity to continue my work within the FIA and look forward to the next two years as a board member.

Joining Robert as another re-elected DT member was Simon – who, as a result, will continue to serve on the Fire Detection & Alarm Council.  Simon joined DT in 2022 and has a 30-year association with the Fire Industry - having previously held several roles with Apollo Fire Detectors.
