Queen’s Award for Enterprise Presentation Ceremony

Queen’s Award for Enterprise Presentation Ceremony

Posted in: Events News

Following the announcement in April that we had been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, we were thrilled to host the official presentation ceremony on-site at our office in Hertfordshire.

Queen’s Award presentation ceremonies are conducted by the Lord-Lieutenant of the County as HM The Queen’s representative, as a result we were fortunate to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE CStJ to our office to officially present our Chairman, Bill Rossiter with the award.

We were also able to welcome other distinguished guests; the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Peter Hebden and Barbara Fitzsimon. Prior to the presentation ceremony, all guests were taken on a tour of our site to meet with the wider Detectortesters team and learn more about the company’s products and solutions.

With COVID restrictions lifted, the ceremony marked the first all staff event for over 18 months and was the perfect way to welcome everyone back to the office. After the presentation, the celebrations continued with Afternoon Tea and a glass or two of champagne!

The award was extra special as it marked the third time the company has received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, having previously being recognised in 2003 (International Trade) and 2014 (Innovation). This award in 2021 acknowledges consistent International sales growth over the last six years, during which time International sales have grown 121% – a fantastic achievement for everyone who has worked for the company during this time.
