Smoke detectors which are hard-to-access can require extra time and effort to be tested, sometimes this means they are left untested leaving the building at occupants at risk from fire. Our Scorpion product is the perfect solution to this challenge and we’re pleased announce details of a new webinar where you can learn more about Scorpion and the types of application to can benefit.
Typically most buildings have at least one detector which is hard-to-access, commonly these are found in lift shafts, ceiling voids and secure rooms. These detectors still need to be tested, especially as there location often means they would be among the devices most relied upon in the event of a fire. We have been selling Scorpion for a number of years but have recently experienced huge interest in the solution as increasing numbers of service companies and engineers become aware of the solution and the benefits it can bring. It’s also proved popular with building owners and facilities managers who themselves have become more aware of the risks posed by any detector which is left untested. ASD systems are by nature often installed in hard-to-access locations, this type of detection is becoming increasingly popular so of course, it’s important these systems can be tested easily and compliantly – an ASD version of Scorpion makes this easy.
To support the rise in interest in Scorpion we’ve put together a webinar to cover the point benefits of Scorpion, how it works and to look at the sites it has already been installed in. The next date for the webinar, led by Paul Gatens, is Tuesday 20th June, the webinar is CPD certified and free to attend.
By the end of the webinar, those attending will have an understanding of the following:
